On our third and last day of tour, we woke up early again to catch early boat ride to Sabtang Island. The weather was better and faluwas were already allowed to sail from Sabtang Island to the ports of Batan Island (where we currently are).
Sabtang is a place that's frozen in time, and has more number of households and villages with vernacular houses that are still being used to date.

As we got into the faluwa, each one (even those locals who are already used to sailing across the islands) secure their own life vests. We wanted to look brave and composed so we didn't want to wear one. But in the end we still did (DMD)!
Not for the faint-hearted! Below are video clips we took inside the motorboat (faluwa) riding with the waves towards Sabtang Island. You can see how everyone is holding on and getting ready with their life jackets! We just wanted to share the experience in this ride that photos alone cannot express. But the actual experience could not be totally shown in the video. It's much more scarier (yet exciting) in the actual experience! (Watch in HD)!
Boat ride from Batan Island to Sabtang.
Scariest 30 minutes of my life! (Sheryl)
It's scary how the faluwa tilts upwards, downwards, left and right, and way down that you thought could no longer go back up again nor regain its balance.

And we survived! FInally docked at Sabtang Port.
Upon arrival to the port, as tourists we have to drop by the tourism office to register.
